20's Plenty: Antony Hook launches online petition

holding-cropped-20mphsign.jpgFaversham's campaigner and County Councillor Antony Hook has launched an online petition in support of the town's "20's Plenty Campaign".

The campaign is calling for 20 mph speed limits on more residential roads in our town.

Antony said,

"20 mph limits have been shown to save lives by reducing accidents.  The also reduce pollution and noise and make the area more welcoming for pedestrians and cyclists. The help drivers by making it easier to get out from minor to busier major roads."

"They make a small difference to how long it takes to drive across Faversham.  But they have potential to make a very big difference to quality of life and safety for everyone who lives here."
