Yesterday, Antony Hook wrote to Kent's Director of Highways & Waste about flooding problems in the Park Row area of Whitstable Road, opposite Faversham Recreation Ground.

A council official has written back to say "the design is inadequate" to handle the amount of rain that comes onto the road from the Recreation Ground.

Antony Hook,

"I will not stop pressing he council for action.  We know the drains are not good enough. Water is coming up to people's doorsteps.  The Rec is not new.  Rain is not new."

"An adequate drain system should have been put in place from the start."

"Kent County Council have to act quickly to fix this."
