In Faversham, Antony Hook's Liberal Democrat team are working hard to make our town a better place for everyone who lives here.
We believe our town is a great place that can be even better. Safer roads, less crime, better jobs and opportunities, better facilities for young and old, with a cleaner environment.
You can be part on this by contributing an idea for how our area can be better. If you want to you can help make it happen, by helping us communicate to other residents and build support for change for the better.
We are offering real and effective opposition to the Conservatives who, locally, have been in control for too long. In Faversham, local elections are a two-horse race. Only the Liberal Democrats can beat the Conservatives. We can only do this with the help and support of local people.
In Kent, Liberal Democrats are the official opposition on the County Council. Kent County Council is very important. KCC has a budget of about £1.8bn and runs important services, such as social services, schools, elderly care, libraries, and highways and has considerable power.
We are building an new, better vision for Kent to give the county new leadership and direction.
Across the UK, Liberal Democrats are offering a better future. Vince Cable MP understands the economy better than any other politician. He is respected in this country and around the world.
The Liberal Democrats' constitution sets out our purpose:
The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity.
